Clear Your Cache & Cookies

Fix login loops, stale pages, and "something went wrong" errors by clearing Wintro's cache and cookies in your browser.

If Wintro won’t load correctly, keeps logging you out, shows an old version of a page, or gets stuck on a login screen, clearing your browser’s cache and cookies usually fixes it. This forces your browser to fetch a fresh copy of Wintro and start a clean session.

Note: Clearing cookies signs you out of Wintro. You’ll need to log in again afterward, which is exactly what fixes most issues.

When to do this

Try clearing your cache and cookies if you’re seeing any of these:

  • A login loop, you sign in but get sent straight back to the login page
  • “Something went wrong” or a blank/white page that won’t load
  • An old version of a page (buttons or candidates that should have updated)
  • You stay logged in as the wrong account, or can’t switch accounts
  • Microsoft or Google sign-in fails or hangs

Try a hard refresh first

Before clearing anything, try a hard refresh. It reloads just the current page from scratch and leaves your other sites untouched.

  • Windows / Linux: Ctrl + Shift + R
  • Mac: Cmd + Shift + R

If the problem is gone, you’re done. If not, clear Wintro’s cache and cookies using the steps for your browser below.

Google Chrome

This clears just Wintro and leaves every other site you’re logged into alone.

  1. Open Wintro at wintro.app in the tab where you’re having trouble.
  2. Click the icon to the left of the address bar (the “tune”/sliders icon, sometimes shown as a lock). It’s circled below.

The site information icon, just left of the address bar in Chrome

  1. Click Site settings.
  2. Find the Delete data button and click it, then confirm.
  3. Close the tab completely, then open wintro.app again and log in.

Option B: Clear all cache and cookies

Use this if Option A didn’t work, or if you can’t find the Delete data button.

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Windows / Linux) or Cmd + Shift + Delete (Mac). The Delete browsing data window opens.
  2. At the top, set the time range to All time.
  3. Tick Cookies and other site data.
  4. Tick Cached images and files.
  5. Click Delete data.
  6. Close Chrome completely, reopen it, go to wintro.app, and log in.

Tip: You don’t need to tick “Browsing history” or “Passwords” to fix Wintro. Leaving those unticked means you keep your history and saved logins for other sites.

Still not working?

If clearing the cache and cookies didn’t fix it, try these in order:

  1. Use a private/incognito window. This runs with no cache or cookies at all. In Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N (Windows / Linux) or Cmd + Shift + N (Mac), then go to wintro.app. If Wintro works there, old data in your normal window was the problem, repeat the steps above.
  2. Check you’re using the right account. If you signed in with Microsoft or Google, make sure it’s the work account your company uses with Wintro, not a personal one.
  3. Try a different browser. This tells us whether the problem is specific to one browser.

If none of that helps, reach out to your recruiter or contact us at support@wintro.ai with a short note on what you tried and which browser you’re using.
