Getting Started
A step-by-step way of working that turns Wintro into a continuous source of high-quality, referred candidates.
Wintro becomes a referral engine when a few things are true at the same time: your vacancies are in the platform, your company network is mapped, and the right people see the right candidate at the right moment. The flow below is the path from sign-up to a steady stream of referred candidates.
-
Connect Your Systems
The only required integration is LinkedIn — connect your account and install the Wintro Companion extension on first login. ATS, identity provider, and communication channels (Slack, Teams, Outlook, Gmail) are optional add-ons that remove manual work where you have them.
-
Add Your Team
Your candidate pool scales directly with team coverage. CSV upload or one-by-one additions take minutes and need no IT involvement; SCIM via Entra ID is an optional add-on if your org already runs it.
-
Activate the Network
Wintro’s matching is driven by your colleagues’ professional networks. The wider the coverage of those networks in the platform, the larger your pool of warm, referrable candidates.
-
Open Your First Vacancies
Configure filters and match criteria for each vacancy and open it for referrals. Cast a wide net on filters, let match criteria do the quality scoring, and lead with a “Currently active as [role]” criterion for the strongest results.
-
Drive Engagement
Most of the lift in any referral program happens here. Set a meaningful bounty per vacancy, nudge specific colleagues from the Live tab when they haven’t reviewed their high-match candidates, and respond to referred candidates within a few days so colleagues keep getting feedback.
-
Track, Push to ATS, and Iterate
The Live tab is your operating dashboard — shortlist or reject candidates, see who’s referring, and watch match performance. If quality drops, reorder match criteria; if volume drops, look at activation rate and team coverage first.
